Manufacturing process
- Perform alcoholysis reaction by reacting drying oil (linseed oil) and polyalcohol (pentaerythritol) in the first stage of the two-stage solvent process.
- Verify monoglyceride formation using methanol solubility and compatibility tests.
- Esterify the monoglyceride with phthalic anhydride and solvent in the second stage under controlled temperature to convert it into alkyd resin.
- Cool, filter using sparkler filters, and blend the resulting alkyd resin.
- Package the finished alkyd resin into barrels for storage and dispatch.
