Manufacturing process

  1. Melt aluminium ingots in a furnace maintaining temperatures around 720 degrees C to 760 degrees C.
  2. Produce atomised aluminium by blasting a stream of molten metal into small particles using an air jet and atomizer.
  3. Draw the formed particles through a collecting duct and into a cyclone collecting system via suction.
  4. Segregate different sizes of aluminium powders by sieving.
  5. Pack the finished aluminium powder as per market requirements.

Market

Aluminium powder is a consumable product with major applications in pyrotechnics, explosives, paints, and foundry work. The domestic industry is well established with growing export demand and a steady annual demand growth estimated between 8 to 10 percent.
