Manufacturing process

  1. Collect fallen areca nut palm leaf sheaths from grounds.
  2. Clean the thick sheaths thoroughly.
  3. Soak the cleaned sheaths in water for approximately 15 minutes.
  4. Dry the soaked sheaths for about 30 minutes.
  5. Compress the sheaths into different shapes using correspondingly shaped dies in hydraulic or manual machines.
  6. Pack the finished crockery items as per customer requirements.

Market

The product has very high demand and supply constraints in the market due to government restrictions on plastic and polystyrene products. The market is expected to grow sustainably as eco-friendly, biodegradable, and compostable alternatives are increasingly preferred domestically and internationally.
