Manufacturing process

  1. Foundry: Heat aluminium alloy up to 700 degrees Celsius and pour into a preheated die for solidification, followed by cooling, cutting the sprue section with a band saw, and routing the piston body for machining.
  2. Pin Boring: Rough machine the gudgeon pin hole using a boring machine.
  3. Turning: Perform turning operations on precision lathe machines using a solid rod and draw bolt to hold the casting securely.
  4. Drilling: Drill oil holes in gudgeon pin bosses and oil ring grooves, cut slots in the skirt, and perform valve and crank relieving.
  5. Finishing Process: Perform cam grinding on the skirt and ream the piston in a bath of oil to reach final dimensions.
  6. Final Inspection: Clean the piston, stamp size and category, and send for dispatch.

Market

The global automotive piston market size is projected to grow steadily, driven by the expanding automotive sector and a shift toward direct gasoline injection (GDI) engines, ensuring a consistent and lasting demand.
