Manufacturing process
- Select and soak wet salted buffalo hides overnight.
- Wash and green-flesh the hides.
- Paste and lime the hides using sodium sulphate, hypo, and lime.
- Unhair and relime with lime and caustic soda for one day.
- Flesh and round the hides into butts, bellies, and shoulders.
- Utilize the butt portions to produce the final belting leather.
