Manufacturing process

  1. Purchase rolled sheets of paper and paper boards and cut them to size using the cutting machine.
  2. Align or slice pages and perform thread sewing to form the final book block.
  3. Trim the three edges of the book block down to the desired size using the three-knife trimmer.
  4. Send the trimmed block to the backing and rounding machine to give the spine a convex shape.
  5. Compress the book (nipping) to let excess air escape, coat end papers with adhesive, and press the cover onto the book block using the casing-in machine.

Market

Bookbinding is essential to preserve the condition of antique books, records, and academic materials. Demand is driven by exponential growth in the educational sector, libraries, government offices, and legal firms.
