Raw materials & machinery

Manufacturing process

  1. Acquisition of raw cashew nut shells and sorting for processing.
  2. Extraction of oil using an oil expeller or oil bath roasting process.
  3. Filtration of the extracted liquid through a filter press to remove impurities.
  4. Storage of filtered cashew nut shell liquid in mild steel tanks.
  5. Packaging of the finished liquid into appropriate containers for market distribution.

Market

CNSL is widely used in friction linings, paints and varnishes, epoxy resins, foundry chemicals, and for producing cardanol used in brake linings and rubber compounding.
