Manufacturing process

  1. Raw material procurement and quality testing of forged blanks.
  2. Surface finishing of raw forged blanks using a shot blasting machine.
  3. Mounting blanks on a lathe machine for preliminary shaping and finishing.
  4. Marking diameter holes at the edge of the rod piston using a VMC machine.
  5. Boring operations at the bearing end of the rod using a VMC machine.
  6. Face milling on bearing flat surfaces and drilling required dimensions for mounting bolts.
  7. Assembling the connecting rod and bearing cap using cap bolts and mounting bushings at the small end with a hydraulic press.
  8. Spraying oil over the rods after quality testing to protect from rusting.
  9. Final packaging according to desired quantity for market distribution.

Market

Connecting rods are critical components for internal combustion engines used in automotive and industrial applications. Demand scales directly with vehicle manufacturing and engine overhaul sectors.
