Manufacturing process
- De-husk coconuts and soak husks in water for a few days
- Beat soaked husks in a Disintegrator and Decorticator set to extract coir fiber
- Clean extracted fiber in Turbo Cleaner and sun dry
- Sieve dry fiber in Revolving Screener to remove pith, dust, and short fibers
- Hand-feed cleaned decorticated fiber into the spinning and curling machine to form curled coir rolls
- Store curled coir rolls in a dry, moisture-free place for two months to set the curl

Curled coir ropes are widely used in the manufacturing of coir mattresses, sofas, couches, and automobile/locomotive seats, providing a springy and resilient cushion effect.
