Manufacturing process
- Degrease steel job in trichloroethylene for 10 minutes
- Derust in citric acid solution for 30 minutes
- Rinse thoroughly in running water followed by distilled water
- Alkaline soak clean in sodium silicate solution for 10 minutes
- Rinse thoroughly in running water and distilled water
- Activate in hydrochloric acid for one minute
- Prepare plating bath with nickel chloride, sodium acetate, glycerin, and sodium hypophosphite in distilled water
- Immerse job in the bath at 85 degrees Celsius for the required time
