GALVANIZED MS WIRE MAKING UNIT

The unit manufactures galvanized mild steel wire by drawing MS wire rods to the desired diameter and applying a zinc coating. The product is widely used in pre-stressed concrete products, railway applications, and domestic sectors, providing excellent anti-corrosion properties.

Manufacturing process

  1. Perform pickling to remove rust and impurities from the MS wire rod.
  2. Flux the cleaned wire surface.
  3. Draw the wire through bull block and multistage wire drawing machines to achieve the desired diameter.
  4. Pass the wire through a lead bath furnace for annealing.
  5. Quench the wire in a water tank.
  6. Pass the wire through a fluxing tank and then a zinc furnace for galvanizing.
  7. Use a take-up machine with spooling facility to finish and collect the galvanized wire.
