Manufacturing process
- Purchase and store peppermint shoots in a shaded area.
- Boil shoots with water in a heating vessel for 20 to 40 minutes.
- Transfer the generated steam containing oil to a condenser via steam pipe.
- Circulate cooling water through the condenser to liquefy the steam.
- Separate the immiscible water and peppermint oil in a separator tank.
- Drain the bottom water layer for reuse in the heating vessel.
- Supply the extracted oil to a filling machine to pack into bottles.
