Manufacturing process
- Raw material procurement and quality testing of sugarcane and other inputs.
- Raw material processing including mechanical unloading, cleaning, and washing of sugarcane.
- Juice extraction using roller-type crushers and filtering through coarse cloth and mesh.
- Boiling the extracted juice in a furnace using bagasse as fuel, adding limestone milk to skim off scum until crystallization starts.
- Centrifuging the sugar-molasses combination to separate raw sugar crystals.
- Crystallization and drying using a granulator with a dryer to achieve desired color, texture, and finish.
- Automatic weighing and packing of the brown sugar into clean, airtight packages.
Market
Brown sugar has a steady demand from baking companies, commercial kitchens, and retail organic stores due to its distinct flavor, moisture, and texture provided by molasses.
