Manufacturing process

  1. Weigh all ingredients accurately according to formulation.
  2. Prepare thick syrup by melting jaggery and dissolving sugar with water.
  3. Cook the prepared syrup properly and mix with split roasted blanched peanuts.
  4. Roll and sheet the prepared hot mass to required thickness and width.
  5. Cut the sheeted chikki into desired dimensions for individual bars.
  6. Cool the bars and pack them using a flow wrap packing machine.
  7. Pack finished chikki bars into PET jars and corrugated cartons for distribution.

Market

Chikki is a popular traditional sweet snack consumed across all age groups, with school children and rural areas as prime targets. The market is largely controlled by unorganised sectors and local manufacturers, showing increasing demand driven by convenient and hygienic packaging.
